Paris Travel Diary

All pictures taken with the Samsung NX300.

Last week I went to Paris to see my dear friend Jasmin. I spent four great days despite the rain and the cold (you still gotta love Paris the way it is). Here I am sharing with you my hot-spots as well as pictures I took during my stay, all taken with the Samsung NX300, which has become a faithful travel companion! Paris, I hope to be back very soon.

FOOD & DRINKS

Café de Flore, 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain, 75006 Paris: The most iconic café in Paris has to be the Café de Flore at the Boulevard Saint-Germain. I love going there on the weekends to get brunch. Tiny tables filled with delicious food, yummie!

Restaurant Le Christine, 1 rue Christine, 75006 Paris: Hidden in the Rue Christine, 6ème arrondissement, this delicious restaurant serves true French haute cuisine. I went there nearly every single time I was in Paris - definitively worth checking it out.

Restaurant Liza, 14 rue de la Banque, 75002 Paris: This Lebanese restaurant heaven was our place to go on our last evening in Paris. If you love Oriental food you have to go there! It was so delicious that we totally overate ourselves, but it was worth it.

SHOPPING

Colette, 213 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris: Super hip store, filled with cool people, clothing, shoes, magazines, candles and other smaller goods.

7L7 rue de Lille 75007 Paris: A book store owned by Karl Lagerfeld that sells beautiful books about photography, fashion and others.

Kenzo27 Boulevard de la Madeleine, 75008 Paris: Do I really need to write down a reason to go to Kenzo?

Of course I would also shop at Boulevard Haussmann, especially at Gallery Lafayette and Printemps, on and around Rue Saint-Honoré and Boulevard Saint-Germain.

MUST-SEE

As dull as it sounds, but the touristy places like the Eiffel tower, Champs-Elysées, Jardin des Tuileries, Notre Dame etc. are really the things you have to see while in Paris. What I also find really enjoyable is a quick step-in into the different headquarters of the luxury fashion brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Hermès. Now if you really want your mind blown out you should take the train to Versailles to visit the Château de Verailles, my all time favorite spot! Rent a bike and cycle down the endless seemingly alleys and soak in this gigantic pieces of history (recommended especially in spring / summer).
