#AXEMAG Launch in Berlin

Last Wednesday Moritz and I flew to Berlin for the launch of the AXE Magazine. It is a magazine dedicated to men as well as their new product range that we introduced to you a couple of weeks ago. In it you will find stories about all sorts of interesting – mostly German – personalities who define themselves through music, philosophy, tattoos, skating, writing, designing or dj-ing, but all true to the motto find your magic!
The event was set in a Spätkauf (a convenience shop that is open almost 24/7 and very typical for Berlin) in the quarters of Neukölln. What is usually known as «Tante Frizzante» turned into the #AXEKIOSK for that night. Next to the magazines and beauty products that were displayed, there were three big fridges filled with sandwiches, cocktails filled into bottles and local beer, as well as chips, nuts and candy bars in racks, just the way you’d find it in a Spätkauf. Among the guests were – next to a lot of local prominence that I didn’t know – the model Shaun Ross who was portrayed for the magazine, too, as well as Carl Jakob from my favorite German blog Dandy Diary.
It was a great evening filled with interesting personalities that in some way made us feel like real Berliner. It was also fascinating to get a glimpse into the quarters of Neukölln and Friedrichshain where our hotel was.
Bis bald Berlin!
