No other city I have been to so far gave me this strong feeling of history waiting for you around every corner. Berlin being relatively new as it was bombed in 1945 by the end of World War II is so vast and has no actual city center that you sometimes feel lost between all those concrete buildings. It was on our last morning in Berlin when Moritz and I decided to visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe near the Brandenburger Tor. Truly an impressive memorial with its 2'711 concrete slabs raging up to 5 meters above ground. The slight rain gave a certain authenticity to this sad place that should remind us of the holocaust not so long ago.
Nonetheless it was an amazing trip to the German capital and I got a really good impression of the city which is why I hope to be back soon! I will post the last pictures of this journey - from the STYLIGHT Fashion Blogger Awards - on Wednesday, so stay tuned!
