Last week, prior to the start of the Passione Caracciola rally in honor of the German race driver Rudolf Caracciola, Moritz and I had the opportunity to shoot with gorgeous vintage Mercedes-Benz cars and timeless IWC watches around the beautiful premises of the Dolder Grand Hotel and Bellerive Museum.
The mood was set around the 1950's though we wanted to bring a more modern touch in as well, so Moritz chose a rather 70's-like outfit. It goes to show that these watches are timeless and can be worn throughout decades, no matter the styling.
As the hotel is located on a hill and the museum by the lake we drove down with the cars and to our surprise were even allowed to drive ourselves. So Moritz sat behind the steering wheel and all dressed up drove down to the lake. As I turned on the radio and jazz tunes played from the stereo I couldn’t help but feel like we were in a movie scene from back in the days. Definitively a memorable moment - thank you IWC.
