Royal Opera House Muscat

First I want to wish you all a merry Christmas! I hope you're spending some relaxing days with the family and get to eat a lot, because who am I kidding, that is a very important part of Christmas, too! As for myself we're going to throw a big Danish Christmas lunch on the 26th with family and friends and other than that I am looking forward to a couple of days of doing nothing..!
I don't know what the weather looks like at your end, but here in Zurich it feels like spring with sunshine and outside temperatures of 10+ degrees! I can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas so these photos of the marble white Royal Opera House Muscat are probably the closest I'll get to a "white" Christmas.
It was on Sunday, our last day, when we visited the opera house in the city center. I must confess I was quite surprised to see such a magnificent opera house in Muscat, turns out it is the only one in the Gulf States. The interior strikes with unobtrusive luxury, combining Arabian-ornated marble and wood in a very tasteful way. They offer daily house tours between 8.30 and 10.30 AM.
That unfortunately already concludes the photos from our trip to the Oman, but I hope you enjoyed it and that we could give you a peek into this stunning country on the Arabian Peninsula! Also don't forget to explore the hashtag #LipsBrothersOman on Instagram.
